In August 2022, a fire took our sanctuary. The chairs, the instruments, the stage, the sound. All of it.

That Sunday we were worshiping in the gym next door, and we never stopped. Later, the insurance claim was denied. We kept going anyway. We kept feeding families. We kept praying for this city. We kept building, one wall at a time.

On New Year's Eve, the doors of the new sanctuary open for the first time. We want you in the room when they do. Bring your family. Bring your neighbors. Come home with us.

Seats are free. Reserving helps us plan parking, kids' rooms, and seating, and lets us reach you with arrival details.

8:00 PM

First Night Home

The first service in the new sanctuary. Be there when the doors open and the procession walks in from the gym.

Watch Night

Worship into the new year and count down to midnight together in the Glory House.

Each service seats 1,000 in the sanctuary and 300 more in our overflow rooms with the full service on the big screen. Seating is first come at the doors, sanctuary first. When a service reaches capacity, new reservations join a waitlist.

Kids and students get a building of their own.

While you worship in the sanctuary, your kids have their own night in our gym building, at both services. Everything parents need is at home.excelchurch.tv/kids.

The Drop

6th to 12th grade

A live DJ and dance party, a 360 photo booth, gaming, karaoke, a snack bar, and a countdown balloon drop (the real midnight at the 10:30 PM service).

The Big Bounce

Kindergarten to 5th grade

The whole gym filled with inflatables, a glow party, a Bible story, and their own countdown.

Little Lights

Birth to 5 years

A calm nursery, soft play, bubbles, story time, and a sleepy-time movie at the late service.

Safe, secure check‑in

Every child gets a name tag with a code that matches your parent tag. Only the adult holding the matching tag picks up. Every kids and students volunteer is background checked. Add your kids when you reserve and check-in takes seconds. Kids check-in opens at 7:00 PM for the 8:00 PM service and 9:55 PM for the 10:30 PM service.

What time should I arrive?
For the 8:00 PM service, doors open at 7:00 PM, and arriving by 7:30 PM gives you the best choice of seats. For the 10:30 PM service, doors open at 10:05 PM; please don't arrive earlier, so the first service can clear the lot. Bringing kids? Kids check-in at the gym building opens at 7:00 PM and 9:55 PM, so come straight there first.
Where do I park?
Volunteers direct you from Flat Shoals Rd into our lot and the lots next door. When those fill, free shuttle buses run from our remote lots. Arrival and parking details go out the week of December 28, by text to everyone who opted in, and they are posted at home.excelchurch.tv.
Does it cost anything?
No. Every seat is free, and so is every kids and students night.
Which service should I choose?
The 8:00 PM service is best for families with young children and anyone who wants to be home before 10:30. The 10:30 PM service is where we count down to midnight together.
Where do my kids go?
Our gym building becomes theirs. The Drop for 6th to 12th grade, The Big Bounce for kindergarten to 5th grade, and Little Lights for birth to 5 years, including our Wee-Zone nursery. Every night is free.
Is the building accessible?
Yes. The Glory House has accessible parking, an accessible shuttle, and accessible seating; ask any greeter. In the kids building, the lower level (The Drop and The Big Bounce) is reached by stairs. If your child uses a wheelchair or needs extra support, call 404.207.1481 by December 22 and we'll plan a main-level option.
What should I wear?
Whatever you would wear to ring in the new year. Some people dress up, some come straight from work. You are welcome either way.
Can I watch online?
Yes. Both services stream live on our YouTube channel at home.excelchurch.tv/live.
